A very impatient Lieutenant on the phone to her former partner.
💡 Vivian was taught by CSIs and, although she is a detective, she approaches crime scenes with a very forensic eye. To her, evidence is absolute.

Do you love gripping crime drama books? Do you love strong, sapphic female main characters? Do you love tragic backstories and morally grey heroes?
If so, you might love my new story SFPD: Bloodline 📖
Read a little about it below 👇
#SFPDBloodline #OC #crimedrama
In 2009, 26 year old rookie detective Vivian Blackwood sits at a bar, having just learned the San Francisco Police Department she works for was closing her family’s tragic homicide case after five years of investigations. She sits with a drink, leaning on her left hand and a drink in her right. She looks upset, but doesn’t cry. Her brown hair covers one side of her face as she nurses her drink. The panel says “When they closed my family’s case that day, I didn’t bother taking my uniform off before I started drinking. I felt the system I had been a part of failed me. I was right”. In the following panel, Vivian, now 42 years old, stares ahead of her, the harsh lines of her face betraying the coldness of a seasoned detective, burdened by the lies and failures of her past. The panel says “Even now, I know that no amount of justice I provide for others can ever change that.” There is a darkness in her eyes. The things she has done to get justice for victims has come at a great spiritual price for her.
[The Spiritual Cost of Justice] Here’s a very brief comic sketch featuring a scene from the book I did today (a little sneak peak👀)
Since Vivian can’t rely on the system for justice, she does things her own way instead.
