β We were pleased to have SHAREing represented at the poster session yesterday evening at #SIAMPP26 β
Thomas Flynn presented the poster and had some great conversations about our work, as well as opportunities for collaboration around performance assessment and training in HPC
My @durham-comp-sci.bsky.social PhD student Pawel Radtke just won the best poster award at #SIAMPP26 on our compiler work.
Speaking at SIAM Conference on Parallel Processing for Scientific Computing this week about vascular digital twins and the role of high performance computing in understanding physiology over time.
Great conversations with the SIAM community. Thanks for the invite!
#SIAMPP26
It kind of strikes me that SIAM CSE has always multiple sessions on training and teaching. #SIAMPP26 has none. Thats a missing piece in the puzzle and where @shareing.bsky.social has to step in. Computational Sciences training is important. So is HPC from a methodological/algorithmic point of view.
Great poster session at #SIAMPP26. @shareing.bsky.social was there and our eCSE project (a collab between @durham-comp-sci.bsky.social and @epcc.bsky.social ) as well as two further posters around Peano and the continuation of our PAX-HPC ExCALIBUR work.
Great talk by @durham-comp-sci.bsky.social PhD student Pawel Radtke on his PhD research in the big AudiMax in Berlin at #SIAMPP26
Meeting with other TOMS (associate) editors at #SIAMPP26. It is always good to meet the people behind a journal portal.
My #SIAMPP26 quote of the day: "It's the wrong name, but it's my code so I can call it whatever I want".
2hrs in at #SIAMPP26 and a first talk using ExaHyPE. The observations re precision are interesting. Punchline: low precision pollutes a lot of the outcomes and one has to be very very careful using it.
SHAREing has officially landed at #SIAMPP26. Keep an eye out for the SHAREing poster at tomorrowβs poster session - we look forward to seeing you there!
