He’d never do something so spontaneous.” This time Koby does blush. It burns its way up his throat and over his cheeks. My Specs. God. It still makes his heart flutter. But there’s a sourness to it now—a strange, uncomfortable feeling that takes Koby a few seconds to place: guilt. Like he’s cheating on the partner he no longer has. “Hey,” he argues. “I can be spontaneous.” Case in point: he definitely did not plan to cry over butter today.
