There are a lot of talks at #SLSA25 #SLSA2025 on divination, magic, ritual, the occult, etc. It's very striking. I don't know much about this turn, but my immediate response is to see it as a symptom of current struggles over science and epistemology.
A moving and inspiring opening to the second day of #SLSA25, talking of battling narratives, about truth, power, corruption, trauma, pain. Thinking of how much work of uprooting corrupted violent regime and of healing we have until we have such discussions about any number of disasters in our region.

Excited to be en route to Liverpool for #SLSA25! A double first for me today- first time presenting as part of the wonderful ConnecteDNA project team & first time presenting in the IT Law & Cyberspace stream (so if you're at the presentation, please be gentle with me!).
Sandra's view at the moment: blue suitcase between their legs in grey jeans, and an iced coffee, as they sit in a train station.
