Algo Dulce Partner up for the kids of NM Hello everybody! I'm sure you've seen the business's stepping up during the month of November to help kids & families on SNAP Benefits. That being said, we at Algo Dulce would like to partner up with a Food Truck or two who are interested in giving out FREE food for kids, Elementary-High School EVERY FRIDAY. Us at Algo Dulce will be giving free desserts, including Churros & Ice Cream scoops (Since thats mainly what we do) but would like to see if any food trucks are interested in partnering up. If you work at a school or know somebody who does, please have them get a hold of us via text, direct message, or email. If any food trucks would like to do this, we would love to see the community come together for the children. Thank you and we hope to hear from you!

three.baby.birds.baking I am a mom too. My children are able to get regular medical and dental care because of Medicaid. Alex and I both work all the time and still get a little help. I know first hand how scary and devastating it is when a lifeline like a government program that you rely on is in jeopardy. There was a time between 2010-2013 that my income did not match my bills and I was eating 3 meals a day from the leftover patient trays at the hospital where I worked. Food isn't something we should have anxiety or shame about. It's essential to give us energy so that we can work to improve our financial situations. And more than that, it's just a basic human right. That's why from now until SNAP benefits are reinstated I will be taking orders for free school lunches for your kids. Please read the slides for instructions. Burquenos have always had each others backs and that's something I take great pride in. I believe in America, but not the America that was built off the backs of the poor and governed by the few morons that were rich enough to buy their ways to the top of the food chain. There are way more of us than there are of them and if we take care of each other and if we all give the little bit that we can there is no reason why our kids should go hungry ♥ I don't care what it says on your voter registration card. I don't care about your skin color, religion, age, sexual orientation, or gender identity. If you are hungry come and eat.

Kids should never go hungry. The Homestead Cafe wants to help. We are open this week on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and we're offering free meals for kids. The Le Bakery Albuquerque Foodies • From Our Heart to the Community This month marks 6 months since The Le Bakery opened, and my heart is overflowing with gratitude. The love, kindness, and support from this community have meant more to us than words can say - far beyond what we ever expected when we first opened our doors. Recently, I learned that SNAP benefits will be paused in November, and as a mom, that news hit me deeply. I know how important every meal is for a child. So even though we're still a small business working through our own financial challenges, I want to do something — no matter how small — to help. Starting November 1st, and continuing until SNAP benefits are restored, we'll be offering Free Kids' Meal Breaks here at The Le Bakery. Each child can receive one free meal: Cheesy Bread Egg Sandwich These meals are not on our menu and not for sale - they're the breakfasts I make for my own children every morning. They're made with love, warmth, and care... and now, I'm happy to make them for other children too. We wish we could do more, but we believe that even small acts of kindness can make a difference.
