Back in November 1971 actress #SandraGough departed #CoronationStreet suddenly, never to be seen as Irma Barlow again. At first declared 'missing' in the press, she was later tracked down to Spain where she explained her reasons for leaving to the Sunday Mirror:
'I'M TREATED AS A CHILD'
