Sav grew up in a labor village in Garlean occupied Gyr Abania and that entails all the tragedy and horror you'd expect and have heard of in the game, sadly. The worst anguish was during 1.0 when Nael ordered daily killings of workers to complete Project Meteor where+ #SavLore
I wanted a character that wasn't green and so I took a step towards the warmer side on the color wheel. All of my characters tend to lean towards a green color palette, often via their hair. So when I first made Sav in-game, he did start with green hair until I realized his character more #SavLore
Sav's Azem is Machaon! Named after the Greek mythos figure that was a valued surgeon/medic who also led an army in the Trojan War. Someone SCH-toned that ties in to both of their jobs/pursuits. (Here's a quick concept sketch of them!)

Sav likes uncommon flavors like sweet nuts/beans and florals! Jullus feels like he's either a classic vanilla/chocolate kind of guy or fruits/sorbets. #SavLore
The scent of cheap alcohol and vinegar, the most easily accessible antiseptics and disinfectants lol alongside other medicinal agents/herbs. It gives Sav a sense of control/safety and some nostalgia #SavLore

Gyr Abania! He was born to my fan-made Sun Seeker tribe that were situated on the Rothlyt cliffside towards Ala Migho until Garlemald annexed the region and his tribe fractured and his family got sent to a labor camp further inland where he'd spend the rest of his youth #SavLore
Jullus is afraid of how much his love/wants are corrupted by his imperial upbringing, Sav is self conscious over all the things Garlean propaganda got right about him and doesn't think Jullus needs that while rebuilding his community, both think the other deserves better { #SavLore / #JulSav }
Is this a good time to mention that Sav and Jullus aren't together yet as of 7.4😅? While I'm both hoping for Jullus to reappear again due to his brief recent mentions, JulSav needs a whole expac to work through their personal internal conflicts. { #7.4spoiler / #JulSav / #SavLore }
When Sav isn't slightly hunching all over the place, he's 5'9" - roughly an inch taller than the in-game's max height for male miqo'te. #SavLore
Goodness... Sav’s personal story at present has him dying in his 30's/40's because of a series of poor decision making.

Sav has a troubled relationship with his Gyr Abanian roots due to his time as a Garlean conscript. Even when he defected he chose to not wear anything associated for a long time out of both respect, his own diaspora experience, and a sense of shame from the choices he made during that time. #SavLore
Sav is a combo of market bought, gifts, and cleaned up loot lol, but winds up resizing and mashing up different parts of pieces together. Later in his journeys when he's reconciling with his heritage is when he starts to commission more Gyr Abanian textile pieces to add to his appearance. #SavLore
