In 1609, renowned scholar Joseph #Scaliger (1540-1609) bequeathed all his books and manuscripts (written and printed in Hebrew, Arabic, Ethiopian, Armenian and Russian, amongst others) to the #library of Leiden University. Kasper's study is the first systematic exploration of the collection. 2/4
