For those unfamiliar with the term, scanography is made by using a flatbed scanner to capture and create a digitized image of 3-dimensional objects. I used to have access to one at my old job and had a lot of fun scanning all sorts of things like creepy dolls, plants, holiday decorations, old gloves... It's fun to find new ways to create imagery! Image description: Monochrome image consisting of punched-out circles and the material surrounding the holes. Flat, rectangular sheets of this material are placed overlapping each other and at a diagonal line within the frame, creating repeated alternating black and white circular fragments. I see this image as alternating in these ways: black/white, light/dark, positive/negative, mass/void, circular/linear.
This week's #BlueSkyArtShow prompt is #Alternating, which caused me to consider a lot –– it's cool to see how everyone creatively interpreted the word. More in ALT text.

The edges of these shapes are lined with thin bands of red, yellow, cyan, and blue. Image two has several thin wavy circular white lines that overlap each other.
