[Book] "Protecting the People: The Central Office of Information and the Creation of the Nanny State 1946-2010" by David Welch. Was hoping for info on British public information films, with which I am fascinated, but book was more like real-life #Scarfolk. Interesting but slightly disorienting.

Because of Covid, and then a road accident resulting in a broken shoulder back in 2019/2020, there are no signed copies of The #Scarfolk Annual. Actually, that's not quite true; there is just one signed copy, which was auctioned for charity.

#Scarfolk has been in and out of development with so many different production companies over the years that one of those currently interested in it doesn't realise they already had the rights/option over a decade ago.

I reposted, but if Channel 4 had commissioned more UK series (such as the #Scarfolk series, for which they commissioned a pilot script, but ultimately got cold feet) they wouldn't have to concern themselves with US made TV shows.
