"Holy crap, I got first place!" was my exact reaction to seeing the results for the nycmidnight #ScaryStoryChallenge. I wasn't as confident with this one and had convinced myself round 2 was where I left the competition, but looks like I'm in the finals!

I signed up for the NYC Midnight Scary Story Challenge. The maximum word count is 400 words.
First draft? 536 words. Somehow I got it down to 409 words. Now after a few minor changes it’s up to 428 words… Good thing I’ve still got a few hours to work on it.
