To write six hundred words
I waited til I had six hours
To write the last two-thirds.

I could have used a bit more time
But I'd have frittered it away
At last my story's at an end
As so, too, is the day.

Welp, there's another one in the books for me! The way I struggled with this @nycmidnight.bsky.social #RhymingStoryChallenge piece was painful! I almost thought I'd have nothing to submit, but I did. Not sure it fits the assignment 100%, but I still love what I had & the rhyming didn't suck.

Just submitted my #NYCMidnight #RhymingStoryChallenge and really had fun with it. It's been a rough year for writing, but my comedy prompt fit perfectly with an idea I'd been holding onto for a while, so it was great to finally put pen to paper on it!

Just submitted my first story for NYC Midnight, so fun! The short timeframe and word count makes it so you have to do a lot of tightening up in a short period of time, and then this particular one had to rhyme! I don't have any expectations, but hey, fingers crossed ;) #RhymingStoryChallenge

Submitted my first round story for NYCMidnight's #RhymingStoryChallenge. That was a ton of fun. Fingers crossed I make it to the next round, but I'm looking forward to getting feedback no matter what. Now to finish that short story I'm writing for Monday's submission deadline!

Needed the extra time for R1 of the #NYCMidnight #RhymingStoryChallenge 👀🤔💜❤️😎 Took me a couple of days to settle on an idea & even then I wasn't sure 🤔 Once I had the plot sketched out against a series of stanzas/acts, it began to coalesce ... Still took 4 days of conjuring the narrative rhymes 🙄😂😎

While I'm squirreling away (nut ref🤔😂) with the #RhymingStoryChallenge here's a squishy intro (marshmallow ref 🤔😂) to this #DadJoke 🤔😂🙃😂 .... Just joking BTW.... Chocolate forever!!!! 💜❤️😎
