Did you know craftivism is a thing? I just finished my #emPowerpeople2020 bandana this weekend (photo in thread). And will wear it with a “Vote” pin that’s large enough to read on Zoom calls/teaching. #vote #scientistswhoknit

Last bit of packing for #ISSRM2019! Had to pick out a new knitting project to take along. 🧶 Any other #scientistswhoknit attending?

Grant rejection today. Bummer. 😕 But! This weekend is the Rose City Yarn Crawl in Portland, so I am going to treat myself to some "rejection yarn" and knit up something beautiful. #scientistswhoknit

Post-work knitting with folks from my department. Knitting is my favorite way to unwind after a #dayofscience. @science_a_thon #scienceathon #scientistswhoknit

I knit a #capybara. I don’t think the coloring is scientifically accurate but it sure is cute. #scientistswhoknit

And! A knit inspired by science. A blanket square for Isle Royale #NationalPark. This square represents one of the longest running predator-prey studies by showing a moose profile & a wolf footprint. It's part of an entire national park blanket I helped design. #Scientistswhoknit

Well I can share a couple of the more science-y knits I have done! First, a hand-knit spider for a friend who studied spiders for her PhD! This was one of my first knitting project, so don't look at the photo too closely. 😆#Scientistswhoknit
