Today, I have a 35 minutes slow run according to my training schedule. But it is so cold outside! Going to procrastinate with a cup of coffee for one more hour. #ScientistsWhoRun #TeamLaufen

I had to buy myself a new sport watch. It angers me everytime. The hardware of my old watch is perfectly fine, but the operating system is too old to handle newer software updates. It completely jammed. #ScientistsWhoRun

Today, I participate in a halfmarathon, but I don't care about time. It is not a race for me. I'm just looking for new scenery for my long runs because I'm so bored at the moment of my usual running routes. #ScientistsWhoRun

Another Sunday. Another race. Another try to run 10k below 1 hour. First chilly race of the season. Temperature below 10°C. #ScientistsWhoRun

New running level unlocked! I just ran 5k in less than 30 minutes during training. Thus far, I was only ever able to run that pace during an actual race. #ScientistsWhoRun 🥳

Doing dishes in the kitchen. My biceps hurt from yesterday's weightlifting session and my lower body is tired from today's long run. Sport definitely has its temporary downsides. And I really miss a dishwater. #ScientistsWhoLift #ScientistsWhoRun

YES! Finally managed to get over my mental plateau. Two hours running without a walking break. 15.5 km. #ScientistsWhoRun

A figure with time on the x-axis (40 min in total) and pace on the y-axis (min/km, 11:00 - 4:00). Interval session with 10 min warm-up at 7:45 and the same for cool-down. In between 7 x 2 min at a planned pace of 5:45 (shown in grey). A blue line shows the actual run. Average pace for the intervals was 5:22.

Currently, I am mentally really struggling with my long runs, but I was so pleasantly surprised by my interval session today. It was fun. I felt strong. I felt like I never ran this fast before and just couldn't resist and had to run faster than planned. 😀🏃‍♀️ #ScientistsWhoRun

Okay, enough procrastination. If I don't go on my evening run now, I will be angry at myself for skipping it tomorrow. After all, it is only 45 minutes at low perceived effort. #ScientistsWhoRun

About to start my long run. 140 minutes. Lately, I am really struggling mentally with these training sessions. So today's goal is not a pace. It's to be present in the moment and enjoy it. #ScientistsWhoRun

I have no idea if that was a long run, a fartlek training or a really long interval session, but it was fun. I mean what is not to love about the scenery of Lake Constance. The only complaint I have are the mosquito bites 😅🏃‍♀️ #ScientistsWhoRun

Today, it says interval session in my training plan. And my calves are sore from yesterday's calves raises. That is going to be an interesting running session 😄 #ScientistsWhoRun

A bit frustrated. Will I ever manage to run 10 km in 1 hour? Thus far this year 1:03, 1:03, 1:02:42 and today 1:02:58. At least one can say I am consistent. #ScientistsWhoRun

Figure with time in minutes on the x-axis and pace in min/km on the y-axis. In grey is shown the expected time for the intervals (5:10 min/km) and as a blue line the pace I ran. Interval 1 and 2 went well, 3 and 4 I only managed to hold the pace for 2 instead of 4 min.

I have this one intervall session which I am not able to properly execute yet. But it is excellent physical and mental #run training. And every time, it gets a little bit better. #ScientistsWhoRun

The feeling after completing a training session for which I had zero motivation is pretty good. Another 7.5 km added to my mileage. Now dinner. #ScientistsWhoRun

It is not the favourite muscle group to train, but don't forget your calves on leg day. Especially if you also want to become a faster runner. #ScientistsWhoLift #ScientistsWhoRun
