As you may have seen, the Culra Bothy, along #ScottishHillTrack route 155, has now been demolished. There is currently no shelter at all in the vicinity. Work will begin this year on a replacement structure. The Mountain Bothies Association (MBA) is welcoming any donation to support this.
This week’s #ScottishHillTrack is route 167, Ardnastang (Strontian) to Glenfinnan by Loch Shiel.
The second part of this route goes north-east along the forest road on the side of Loch Shiel for almost 20km.

#ScottishHillTrack route 154 is another very long and rewarding route from Loch Rannoch through the wild heart of Ben Alder Forest to the eastern end of Loch Laggan.

#ScottishHillTrack route 221 from Glenbuchat (Strathdon) to Cabrach is between the upper reaches of the Rivers Don and Deveron. It crosses high, featureless ground where paths and tracks are barely discernible in places, so good navigational skills are required in poor conditions.

Our first #HilltrackTuesday of the year comes from #ScottishHillTrack 139, Bonawe (Loch Etive) to Glen Etive.
This 22km route goes along the west shore of Loch Etive for most of its length, with excellent views across the loch to Ben Cruachan and Ben Starav (pictured here).
