The archer has a red hat. A jacket/doublet with padded sleeves into which he is laced. He wears a double layer of shorts.
It is fascinating.
I like how the artist has painted the archer in 16th Century everyday costume. Just look at how he would have been tied into that shirt/jacket. No zips.

Unusual to see martyrdom of #StSebastian depicted with not just his body riddled with arrows, but also the actual archers with their weapons.

St Peter’s Ugborough also has a fine, though much altered, screen for #ScreensOnSaturday. Unfortunately cut down in Victorian times to provide a view of the altar but what remains is still magnificent
