Good morning. I'm going to dive back into the editing on the #SgtJanus novel, but before that I wanted to try to keep the daily writing groove I've been in. So, I started in on a new novel, something that's been on my bucket list for *years* now, and wrote a 1400-word first chapter. #AmWriting
The #SgtJanus ms is now complete. I just added a 1520-word essay to the end of it (something I've done with every book in the series) and that put me just up and over the 59K mark. Editing has already begun and that will continue. Boom. #AmWriting #AmEditing #AmSelfPublishing #FlinchBooks
I added a 485-word prologue to the #SgtJanus novel this morning. It's a "story so far" thing that I feel pretty good about. I also started in on the great re-read/editing/refining and did about eight pages. It's reading fairly well so far. #AmWriting #AmEditing #AmSelfPublishing #FlinchBooks
With 897 words just now I've brought this phase of the #SgtJanus novel to an end with a grand total of 57K. The next phase will be starting at the beginning again to edit and finesse it and add a brief "the story so far" prologue *and* quite possibly a short essay on the writing of the book. (CONT.)
All righty then. I wrote an appropriate 1313 words today on the #SgtJanus novel (a favorite family of mine claimed that number as part of their street address) which brings the whole thing up and over the 56K mark. I have just a brief coda to write tomorrow and can then call Phase One done and done.
Up early to #AmWriting & added 960 words to the #SgtJanus novel. It's the last of the "action" pieces & the most important. I have two more sections to go, a huge confrontation of personalities & a brief coda, & it's done. This is 3 weeks of writing every day to have reached this point. #FlinchBooks
Woke up from many jumbled dreams this morning to lay down a dream for one of my characters in the #SgtJanus novel. The end result was 860 new words that places me deep in the endgame and just a few words shy of 53K words overall. #AmWriting #FlinchBooks
Got up and added 1345 words to the #SgtJanus novel. This was one of the new sections I devised just a day or so ago, and I think it worked well. Pretty happy with it. Overall, my seven-day total come to 6989, which isn't bad. It puts me up over 52K on the book. #AmWriting
I added 833 words to the #SgtJanus novel this morning, which brings my grand total on it to 50,731. #AmWriting
