Not sure what, if anything, a title change during its season run says about a series, but #MissGovernor (formerly #SheThePeople) is far from the worst Tyler Perry production I have watched even if it still has all the expected Perry tropes/clichés. It has some good moments, admittedly. 3.5/5🪕

#SheThePeople is undergoing a name change in advance of its season 1B premiere on #Netflix.
The comedy series will now be known as #MissGovernor and returns with 8 new episodes on August 14th.
Terri J. Vaughn and Jade Novah are the buddy comedy duo I didn't know I needed. I wish they had better material to work with on SHE THE PEOPLE on Netflix. It's still TP's best sitcom in my opinion. I'm glad they spoke to women politicians in their research. These stories feel real. #SheThePeople

I liked that we got to see a few actors who don’t get a lot of shine have their moment! It was great to see Harriet from “FM”, Jade Novah, TC Carson, and Trina from “WDIGM”! The instagram boy with the light eye was nice to see him get a spotlight! 🧵
