And it was a way to stim while I'm at The Day Job. Yes, my bosses know I use this as a stim. They are amused I call it, and I quote, "Stabbing Yarn". #ShearsKnitsAThing
This project is a way for me to use up the yarn I have instead of buying more. I've already given stash yarn away before, but there's some projects I've wanted to do. #ShearsKnitsAThing
One of these days I'm going to invest in a circular sock knitting machine so I can literally crank out knee highs. But for today, I'm making sure I do not catch carpal tunnel while finishing this. #ShearsKnitsAThing
The pattern I'm using is Stitch Surfer with a lot of mods. I'm knitting sock/fingering weight on size 1.5 (2.50mm). Two at a time in magic loop. I've been at this for 2-4ish months. It's always the last stretch that makes me choose chaos. #ShearsKnitsAThing

As for the leg warmers, if all goes well I can probably do socks in them and make myself some nice knee highs. I'm due to attempt two at a time projects. And I need to do some stash busting.

But I'm due for another what I like to call Stitchapalooza: a project where I knit something that I'll pay a yarn shop's rent in buying stitch markers. #ShearsKnitsAThing
I attempted to knit that shawl on stream. Not the best pattern to do that and be entertaining. Charts, beads, and a shit ton of lace = my ass screwing up and not knowing where. #ShearsKnitsAThing
After that's done, I plan on making leg warmers for dance/walking around and finally, FINALLY attempt the Morticia shawl by Boo Knits. That thing is my white whale, and lace is kind to remind you of your hubris. #ShearsKnitsAThing.

The first hooded cowl I knit is finally done; I used vintage mother of pearl buttons from my grandmother's stash and it looks amazing. I'm knitting the same pattern and might make matching mitts as a set.
