Tip for those who can't sew in a straight line (like me):
Mark your sewing lines first. Especially if you are going to hand sew. Gives you a reference if you are working on non-patterned fabric. Gingham is the exception, for a lot of things. lol #ShearsSewsAThing

Even with machine needles designed for that purpose, holy hell was that a pain. I'm lucky I have a more "modern" (Read: a machine from the 70's) machine to handle that. But I will forever be a big baby over sewing 4-way stretch and jersey knit. #ShearsSewsAThing

Sewing a dress for dance in less than two days is a new record for me. Simple slip dress and minor alterations to the neckline. I'll have to do a facing for the neckline in order to neaten out the neckline.
