Simdha Getul Rinpoche was recognized as the reincarnation of the previous Simdha Getok Tulku Anam Rinpoche. A prophetic letter from Ekajati, protector of the teachings of the Great Perfection, indicated that the reincarnation of Simdha Getok Anam Rinpoche would take place outside Tibet. A monk from Simdha Monastery sought advice from Kyabjé Dilgo Khyentsé Rinpoche, who confirmed the prophecy and identified the child as the reincarnation. Official recognition: H.H. the 11th Mindrolling Trichen Gyurme Kunzang Wangyal Rinpoche officially recognized the child as the reincarnation. Enthronement: Kyabjé Shechen Rabjam Rinpoche and Kyabjé Gyaltsab Rinpoche officially enthroned him at Shechen Monastery, where Matthieu Ricard lives, during the Nyingma Monlam. He was then enthroned at his monastery in Tibet.
