Notably, the stickers applied from the manufacturer are underneath the tape, which strongly suggests that the tape was added after it left the shipper—that is, while it was in transit.

Remember, folks: friends don't let friends ship by UPS. The only use case for them is if you actually want something to arrive damaged, such as when you're sending a cheap gift to that family member you don't like very much.
