The outside of a box, clearly damaged by something hitting it. A substantial amount of tape has been added to try and patch the damage. Notably, the stickers applied from the manufacturer are underneath the tape, which strongly suggests that the tape was added after it left the shipper—that is, while it was in transit.

The inside of the aforementioned box, with contents clearly damaged. The internal box containing an air filter has been crushed. The amount of damage is such that the item is likely unusable.

Remember, folks: friends don't let friends ship by UPS. The only use case for them is if you actually want something to arrive damaged, such as when you're sending a cheap gift to that family member you don't like very much.
