I also picked up a couple model kits from Galaga (which I wasn't aware was even a thing that existed). I am seriously considering painting one of them red as a captured fighter.

I do scale modelling as a hobby, and if there is a model kit based on a shmup,bI generally pick it up. I picked up the Vic Viper today. I posed it with other models that I am working on finishing.

Needs work of course, some bugs. I think I might move to dithery light cookies instead of the hard edges on lights.

Its a little bit magical though.

Some juice work today. A jitter on hit enemies, some screenstop when you get hit, and screenshake when defeating large enemies.

Looking at the gameplay the lantern crash is still slightly confusing. I'll do that tomorrow.
