As it was Mother's Day yesterday in the UK, I decided to practise 母 (mother), and then the word 祖母 (grandmother)!
Grandmother is made of the characters 祖 (ancestor, pioneer, founder) and 母 (mother).

The kanji 平和 (heiwa), meaning "peace," painted with a Japanese calligraphy brush and ink on traditional washi paper.
The kanji 色情 (shikijyo), meaning "sexual passion," painted in similar fashion, though on slightly thinner paper so the ink has bled more.
Bought some proper washi paper and tried it out today. One of these is intended as a gift, I should probably keep track of which one
