#Marvel only had the rights to include these 3 in the short-lived #ShogunWarriors comic. #Raideen (as Raydeen), #CombattlerV (as Combatra) and #DanguardAce (as Dangard Ace).
There were more in the #Mattel toyline, but these 3 were the only ones allowed in the comics version.

Dragun was the most badass looking of the three original #ShogunWarriors. Mazinga looked knightly, and Raydeen looked regal, but Dragun looked like a vicious brawler! He was an import of Go Nagai’s Getter Robo G, which was a #mecha specifically built for combat.

Anyone recognize these missiles? Had them in the box with a #ShogunWarriors Mazinga, but they’re not quite the same as the ones that come with the toy. The hole at the bottom is a lot narrower… anyone know the provenance? Some other #Mattel toy, perhaps?

During the 1980's, #HerbTrimpe became #Marvel's go to artists on licensed property, working #Godzilla, #ShogunWarriors and most notably, #G.I.Joe, which was one of Marvel's top selling series at the time.
I only know the Brave Reideen from the #ShogunWarriors toys and the comicbooks from the 70s. His pseudo-Egyptian styling and ability to transform into ‘God Bird’ form (he was the first transforming robot!) made him stand out from the other giant robos.
