A landscape oriented image taken inside the beautiful cathedral in Siena. In the top left corner is a large round window, it doesn’t appear large as it’s high up and at the far end of the cathedral to me. Underneath it is golden arch with a sacred statue standing in it, a little too far away to say exactly what it is. On the vertical third towering columns begin reaching from floor to ceiling, three of them make their way across the image. The columns and the wall of the cathedral on the far right are tiled in striking black and white horizontal stripes. Across the bottom third of the image visitors are milling around, it was a long exposure so they are pleasantly blurred. The floor below them is elaborately tiled. It isn’t a palace but it certainly palatial so I’ve included the palaces and gardens hashtag. I hope that’s okay.
