As development of #SigridAndFriends is wrapping up, I'm considering holding back on it until Next Fest in June and launch an updated demo with a new area, along with a name and branding change.

Spent another 4 hours playing through #SigridAndFriends from start to finish, only on end up with roughly 45 more things on the list of things to fix before launch.

After burning out on it back in August and shelving it until now, I’m picking up work on #SigridAndFriends again.
Hopefully this new stretch of work time will end with me finishing it!
I’ve made an important decision about my game making. I’m gonna pivot from gameplay centric games and start leaning more towards interactive narrative/VN type experiences.
I’m still gonna finish up #SigridAndFriends but going to completely revamp the side game.

Got a new idea I’m trying out, a stealth game. It’s still gonna be in RPG Maker but that’s what I love about the engine - the flexibility. You can do so much more that just RPG’s with it.
I made a compilation of every game idea I’ve ever had and ended up with 10.
One is #SigridAndFriends , and then there’s three almost-finished ones: one is a VN about high school bullying, another is a VN about journalism and the last one a climbing 3D platformer with funny physics.
#SigridAndFriends is now playable from start to finish! A beeline route, knowing where to go and how to fight and not doing optional content, landed at roughly 4 hours.
I’m now compiling a list of things to do before I can release it, a list that is 65 bullet points and counting…
One of the things that has made #SigridAndFriends development still going strong is that I've had several other games run alongside it.
If I'm ever bored or uninspired, I'll fiddle with something else for a few weeks and then I'm back at it again. Works every time. #gamedev #indiedev #indiegamedev
1 year ago, I started development on #SigridAndFriends . The first 8 months was all just trial and error and genre pingpong. But for the rest of the time, I’ve had a cohesive vision that I’ve managed to stick to.

Today's dev session on #SigridAndFriends was all about designing the 3rd dungeon - it's super fun and going well!
The game will have 5-6 main story dungeons, with some optional ones, and out of those 5-6, not all of them are required to finish the story. I really want to provide options.
I've really slacked a bit on marketing on the #SigridAndFriends demo.
Actually after receiving all of those kind words at the start, I kind of felt like I'm set for the time being when it comes to downloads and attention.
