#cDrama #SixSisters 9/10 near perfect slice-of-life. Great to see Shen Yue step outside idol FL roles, happy she didn't 'grow up' to be the dictatorial self-righteous oldest sister. Also, another CCTV Drama that pleasantly surprised me by the light-handed near-invisibility of censorship/propaganda
TFW you know (as if you didn't already) that you're a HORRIBLE person when the eldest of the #SixSisters in a #cDrama you're watching & whom you've despised for her smug assumption of dictatorial control over her siblings' lives suddenly faces a shame and ruin and your response is to feel content😈

It's TOP CLASS slice of life, one of the best I've ever seen, but 38 episodes is still too many. I've seen 31 & can't believe I still have SEVEN left. A bit of editing could have delivered it in 32.
Finished episode 21/36 in #cDrama #SixSisters and time to take a break. It's 1000% PURE slice-of-life, so if that's your jam, don't miss it.

Into ep 9/38 in #cDrama #SixSisters and it's OK. My interest did take a hit with the "young" leads being replaced unnecessarily early imo, but it's not dropworthy. But it's not grabbing me the way #ThisThrivingLand did, so it will go on hold for now. Time to check the 8 #kDrama entries on my PTW
The "age change" for the oldest sister in #cDrama #SixSisters has happened now. I wondered why there was EXTREME soft focus on the new FL then realised "50 playing 25 - that's why" .🙂
In #cDrama #SixSisters the OTP's families make Montagues & Capulets seem like BFFs, that bitter past will poison their future. I'm now starting a WORSE feud against @jamesdramac.bsky.social for reminding me of all the #cDrama on YT. The kids I never had will teach their kids the meaning of HATE 😆
#SixSisters hasn’t yet been picked up by Viki (& it’s not on iQIYI either), but thank goodness it’s on YouTube - so I’ve saved it to taste later on
Apparently it’s set between the 1960s & the 2010s (with Shen Yue 1 of 6 siblings), so I’m curious as to the kind of social environment they portray

Into episode 4 of #cDrama #SixSisters and it's going well. Great to see Shen Yue starting to stretch her wings beyond idol dramas but also a STUNNING lesson in the value of patience here:

I'm taking the fact that I watched the entire opening credits sequence(I normally FF) for #cDrama #SixSisters episode 1 and really enjoyed the song as a good omen. Fingers crossed CCTV keeps delivering for me, and looking forward to seeing Shen Yue in a role outside her usual idol Drama leads.
