The crew stagger down to the wedding brunch, miraculously appearing all at the same time, no stragglers still sleeping off the night before. Though some of the faces around the hotel restaurant are definitely bleary. Stede is on his second cup of tea but he knows that's not why he's decidedly perky. Only an hour ago, he and Ed woke together, and he realised that he's been sleeping in an unusual spot all week–curled up on Ed's chest. The combination of suddenly having Ed in his life, the wedding excitement and holiday destination, and his blooming hopes for the future fizzes inside him, effervescent. He bounces about from table to table, has a mimosa with Lucius, then another at Olu's table. Then he gets pulled over to another table of guests when Steak Knife and Maggie, two friends he hasn't seen in months, are congratulating him on his speech last night. A third mimosa, and then he's tucking in to a delicious omelette, laughing at a joke Roach is telling. Ed would love this joke– Where is Ed?
