Off of old Hwy 50 headed east into Gunnison I just loved that Art Deco sculpture out in front of a buncha' log cabins. The juxtaposition just made me giggle 🤭 and the skinny ol' Mule Deer Doe with her eyes 👀 on me back behind the Motel sign. Didn't even see her until after I took the photo... It was an otherworldly kind of day

American Bison 🦬 these are mostly "White" A care managed and genetically modified via carefully selected breeders. Autistic me wasn't supposed to be there. I knew this because I climbed the fence in right next to a "No Trespassing" sign. Wearing full camouflage except for my camera. It was a serious trip when the herd finally got a good scent and sight of me. They all lined up facing me and then the herd Bull calmly walked right up to me. I wasn't sure if I had just become a Darwin's award winner or not, for a minute or two. You couldn't have gotten a knitting needle into my butt hole, not even with a sledgehammer, it had puckered up so tightly. I bullshit you not!
Well Hello Mr. Buffalo! And Whoa Whoa Whoa slow down! I have to admit that I was a serious idiot the day that I got these Buffalo up close. They are wild friggin' animals after all, that might happily stomp me into a bloody spot on the prairie, and shit like that. But I thought that I could "feel them", pick up on their emotional vibe and body language clues. And I did, until they all turned towards me and lined up giving me the stink eye 👁️ My little testicles shriveled up and disappeared between my shoulder blades... I bullshit you not!
