As the company’s exploitative labor model spreads, everybody’s job conditions are at risk. That’s why Amazon workers — from Flex drivers to #STL8 and #SMO2 warehouse workers — are coming together to demand safer work and dignified pay.
A pro-worker and small business fair tax agenda is possible. Key element would include: — Raise the corporate tax rate, make it progressive, and close loopholes. — Tax corporations with excessive CEO pay. — Increase the new stock buybacks tax. — Use tax policies to support worker power and small businesses. — Lift the Social Security wage cap. — Tax income from wealth at least as high as income from work.
Together, across our races, backgrounds, and genders, our #STL8 and #SMO2 Organizing Committees are organizing to #MakeAmazonPay what they owe — both in taxes and workers’ wages — so that nothing stands in the way of all of us providing a great life for ourselves and our families.
