Played 3rd for the #FaceMelters today since we had an abundance of outfielders in having almost half subs, and managed to go 3/4, get an out at 3rd (miracle given I was otherwise fighting my outfield instincts to backup rather than cover the base xD), and ultimately we won 15-13! #SoftballSeason
Very excited for another #FaceMelters win 16-12 to bring us to 4-2, against our favorite team that always keeps it close (we lost to them the last two times we've played them), despite the initial chaos of parades making many of our teammates late and some other shenanigans o.o #SoftballSeason
I don't know the final score (last I remember was 11-10, so maybe 18-10ish?), but what a win today for the #FaceMelters!! I think we stayed ahead the whole game even when it was close, and truly everyone had some play or hit (or both) that was such a highlight of the game!! #SoftballSeason
Alas the #FaceMelters got our first #FallBall loss today 20-9, in a day filled with weird hops and other tough plays, but I was our team MVP for today! Went 2 for 3 with an RBI, played first the first inning and otherwise handled the outfield difficulties well in left field #SoftballSeason
And we got said player's number in the hopes of inviting him back to sub in the future, maybe even joining us fully in a future season when it wouldn't be sniping him from the team that relies on individual sign-ups to exist ❤️ #SoftballSeason
It's already #FallBall, and despite anticipating anywhere from 10-13 of our players today, we ended up with only *9* players in the first game and yet a 27-5 win, and a 30-11 win (where we started DOWN 6-0) with an extra player from the other team from the first game! #FaceMelters #SoftballSeason

The #FaceMelters may have had their season finale today in the first game of playoffs, but I'm so proud of how this team has played this whole season. It certainly helped to lose to a team we enjoy playing against (in a pretty close game), but I love my team so much across the board #SoftballSeason
The #OpenBooks have had a wild season so far with rain and heat cancelations resulting in doubleheaders, as well as another team forfeiting last week, but I don't think any of us expected to win 34-3 today against a team we were fairly competitive against last time we played o.o #SoftballSeason
The #OpenBooks *finally* got a second game in this season, which ended up being one game counting as two since we couldn't reasonably get two 5 inning games in like the doubleheader we were supposed to? Ended up with a second (third?) win, and had a good time despite the heat :) #SoftballSeason
The #FaceMelters may not have won today, but we played a pretty solid game at a 24-21 loss! My first hit with a new bat felt incredible, though neither my first game subbing for another team nor this one was great in the outfield where I touched but dropped every ball in the air 😅 #SoftballSeason

A close game (in which I mostly walked when at bat and played left field, but did get an out when I played 2nd for the last couple innings!), we got our first loss today for the #FaceMelters at 14-15. Looking forward to more similarly competitive games though, it was a fun one! #SoftballSeason
Have checked the stats for both of my teams (thanks to the incredible @jeremiahgraves.bsky.social for keeping such great stats that I could look back on!), and confirmed my memory was correct for at least those teams, so unless I hit a HR as a child, it truly is my first home run!! #SoftballSeason
Hit my first home run today (at least that I remember lol), making 3 of my 4 RBIs, and still running on that high- the #OpenBooks also won with a wild margin of 28-2 after barely making playoffs last year with a less than .500 record, so we're off to a great start!! #SoftballSeason
