My cats Jane The Magnificent & Tarzan the Maine Coon, lounging on cushions in a window seat which has a beige chaise right up against it. A yellow double window has sheer layers of gold dotted, and magenta curtains, with heavier red curtains pulled open on one side so the cats can observe the view. One panel of sheer magenta curtain has been tucked between the chaise & window seat, over the cats, creating sort of a veil tent for them. A disco ball and a lit string of mini disco ball lights hangs above in the sash. A couple of houseplants & a kitten fairy lights figurine lamp sit atop an ac unit in the second window panel. A cut glass lamp with an oversized Edison bulb shines warm amber light from a dresser to the right side of them. Both cats are grey & chonky but Jane is a silver grey & cream orange tortoiseshell tabby and Tarzan is a massive superfloof with a grey & white tuxedo pattern. Tarzan is nearly twice Jane’s size. He appears even larger this time of year due to his extra thick winter coat. The view outside is of a rainy, foggy winter day in dull grey tones, contrasting the indoor warmth & rich colors of the scene. Unseen beneath the cats is a pet safe heating pad, which they love this time of year, and especially as the get older. Jane is 14 and Tarzan is 13. They are completely bonded to one another.
The same “window boudoir” scene with my same two cats but this pic is taken with flash, to illuminate the disco balls more, and Tarzan’s eyes also reflect green through the magenta “veil”. A white towel over the beige chaise shows green catnip debris and both cats look pretty high & relaxed
