A photo of a Japanese garden. A single person wearing jeans, a hoodie, and a hat, stares out at the garden from the edge of a small pond. Topiaries, stones, and trees dot the area, all reflected in the water. Between the angle, colors, and general composition, the person almost looks photoshopped in, like they could be staring out at anything, not just the garden.

Unsure if I shared this as its file was apparently also corrupt. Took this at the local Japanese garden. Just a fun one that feels...off in a neat way, like he's not actually there. Like he's photoshopped in.

A photo of Riverfront Park in Spokane, WA. To the left of the river is the Great Northern Clock Tower. To the right is a sitting area made of hay where people can take a photo op with a scarecrow. Directly ahead is the Spokane River as it cuts beneath several bridges in the distance. Everything has a filter of "fall" with the browns and oranges being more intense and the blues and grays darker.

New schedule is going to keep me busy, so while I have the time, enjoy a second photo today!

Took this last year at Fall Fest I think. Riverfront is such a fun place to shoot in: weird spots, fun architecture, etc.

A highly stylized photo from the inside of a car on a four lane highway. The colors are heavily tweaked leaving the asphalt of the road looking muddy, the cloud-laden sky blueish, and the greens brighter. Outside the car a lake can be seen on the right side of the road while a tall wall of pines stand on the opposite. Ahead the highway disappears with just a few other cars visible. Inside the car is a grey-blue dashboard, a touch screen displaying music and time, and hanging from the rear view a set of beads and stones woven together.

I thought the file for this one was broken, so idk if I've shared or not. Just a shot from one of our drives. Might be one of the first ones I really messed with color a bunch.

A photo of a river on a cloudless, sunny day. The majority of the image is of a horizon filled with trees and mountains sitting at the edge of the water. The water is so still and sky so clear, everything is mirrored near perfectly. In the foreground of the shot, breaking up the shot, are barren bits of plant that just beginning to create seeds at the top of there trunks.

Nearly rolled into the water a few times getting this. I love the way the horizon looks like this one unbroken brushstroke across a single blue canvas. You can almost see the individual bristles.

A photo taken from the passenger seat of a car. Large empty plains of golden-brown grass extend into the distance towards slowly sloping mountains in the distance. The sky is an almost teal blue and dotted with plane trails and wispy clouds. Two out of use telephone poles stand center in the photo, wires running between each other but nowhere else. The photographer can be seen taking the shot in the passenger side mirror.

Two I rediscovered today. One was on a backroads drive around Spokane and the other was a flight...to...Greece maybe? The telephone poles were kind of just there, but not connected?

Photo taken from the passenger seat of a car. The perspective is shifted slightly so the image feels elongated into the horizon. Inside the car is the grey-blue interior, a touchscreen displaying various information, beads & stones hanging from the rearview mirror, & the reflection of the driver in dash mounted phone. Outside is a still wet highway from a recent rainstorm that extends far into the distance. The road is bracketed by yellow, grey, & green grass & brush. Far off grey storm clouds can be seen drifting over tall cliffs.

The watermarks read "Cockpit View," & "PhotosFrom - A. R. Connolly."

A photo taken from a speeding car. Green and yellow shrub grass covers the ground close to the photographer and far into the distance past the sliver of river in the distance. A trio of massive power lines link together into the far distance under a cloudy grey sky. Just barely visible are a rainbow arcing past and the photographers reflection in the window.

A photo of an extreme close up of plants growing a long a stone ledge. They are mostly green, almost mint colored, with a few brown, dryer ones out of focus. In the background are out of focus trees that utterly dwarf the plants being focused on, giving a sense of strange perspective. Sunlight shifts across the image giving depth and contrast to the bed of tiny plants.

Something about the blue & brown-gold I find intriguing. Kind of reminds me of shooting with disposables as a kid (one day I'll revisit those old print styles/cameras). I think it could be better, but I like where it went.

Taken from the front seat of a car, the photo depicts an intersection in downtown Spokane, WA. Greys of the cloudy sky, worn pavement, and car dashboard are broken up by a six story, brown building that dominates the photo. It's large windows reflect both the dulled sunlight, and darker colors of the surrounding buildings. Splashes of greens accentuate the sides of the image while bits of blue and yellow pop out from signs and crosswalks. A stark line of sap smeared across the windshield cuts through the image.

You live near the Atlantic & it becomes mundane. To someone whose never seen the ocean, it's a new reality. What's an intersection to me could be gods only know what to someone else. Context is rad.

The photo is of a vast expanse of rolling, dry, desert hills. Mostly swathes of brown-yellow grass and dots of green shrubs can be seen. The blurry outlines of massive power lines can be seen far into the distance. Above it all is a bright blue sky with long, fluffy white clouds beginning to blow across the horizon. The entire shot is framed through the wooden slits of some kind of worn, white fence.

The photo is taken from the top of a hill looking out across a valley. Most of the plants are wooden skeletons with little foliage and the grass looks lifeless. Wet, rotting, red leaves cling to the moist earth next to small mounds of melting snow. The sky is cloudy with hints of the sun peaking through, giving the feeling of viewing up from underwater. The whole image is covered in a heavy fog that obscures anything but the closest plants, a information park sign for the area, and a single person staring into the fog.

The image is taken from high in the sky, likely from a plane. The horizon is horizontally split in two, the top half being a sea of fluffy white clouds that occasionally allow a glimpse of blue sky. The bottom half is also a sea but of greens and reds and yellows and blues. Fields and forest and buildings dot the landscape in s stereotypical "fly over state" kind of way, but without the checkerboard pattern. Instead the lands is divided into squares and triangles and lines of various shapes and sizes with a more abstract pattern to them.

The photo is of an old, well lit pool hall. Three pool tables are visibile, two with games going and one without. Against the far wall made of wood paneling right out of the 70's is a long powered down arcade cabinet and a few hanging signs. The other wall has no paneling but a dingy yellow paint job. Four dart boards sit against that wall, two standing electric ones and two analog boards. In the center of the image is a game the photographer was part of. Multiple solid color balls are spread across the table while a single striped one sits near the cue ball. A lone pool cue sits up against the table like the players simply left the game behind.
