Another front-page foible from the #SpokesmanReview. At first, I thought it was just in the e-edition, but… nope. Passive voice aside, this still never should have made it to print. 🙄
considering what might be done, at least regarding #SpokesmanReview, I've been learning about their (pending?) transition to non-profit ownership, incl plans for a People’s Editor/Ombudsperson www.spokesman.com/stories/2025...; was one, but got fired in the fall www.inlander.com/news/letters...
Again, biased inflammatory language in the #SpokesmanReview gives away the writer’s left-leaning opinion. Right-leaning example: “…strongest protections for women and girls in the country.” Neutral: “…strongest measures addressing the issue nationwide.”
According to the #SpokesmanReview, noted photojournalist #JacobRiis published an article in 1889 and a book in 1990…what a remarkably long and storied life he must have led! 🙄
News bias is easy to spot. The objectionable “force” instead of the more neutral “require” is an editorial choice. This @idahocapitalsun.com headline in the #SpokesmanReview should read, “ID House passes bill requiring schools and doctors to inform parents of their children’s gender identity.”
Journalism 101: If you’re reporting someone’s death and you mention a diagnosis, maybe include what the person was diagnosed with? #SpokesmanReview
Well, THAT’S embarrassing, #SpokesmanReview. 🤦🏻♂️ I can remember a time when errors like this were unheard of.
Found the original @miamiherald.com headline. The #SpokesmanReview changed it. Why?
Okay, #SpokesmanReview ...was the intruder at #Mar-a-Lago armed or not? Your headline says "maybe" but the @miamiherald.com article that you ran today says he was. It can't be both.
From #SpokesmanReview: The country faces record flu cases due to a new strain, #SubcladeK. Though not in this year’s shot, the vaccine is still useful.
@jennifernuzzo.bsky.social notes #Flu strain mismatches happen, but vaccines still keep people out of the hospital.

Anyone else seeing this more often? I know good help is hard to find, #SpokesmanReview, but come on.

As any #TwinPeaks fan knows... #Spokane and the whole PNW is mention often in the series. #David Lynch even lived in #Spokane for a short time as a child. This #SpokesmanReview article talks about the mentions.
#DavidLynch will be missed.
