Olympus C770UZ, f/5.6, 1/200s, ISO-100, 6mm. This was my first digital camera. Olympus is known for their wonderful colors, and that reputation is well-earned. Because I was broke and wanted telephoto capabilties, I switched to Canon PowerShot. From there I moved to Sony mirrorless, and I haven't looked back... except when I'm going through old pics. :) I learned something with every camera I owned, and they made me a better photographer. I'm now in my 70s and have no money, so I'm nearing the end of my hardware journey, but I never stop trying to learn new things. "It isn't the equipment, it's the photographer."

I took this photo during the Great 2006 Drought from the Wisconsin side of the river. I've never seen it so low, before or since. I could walk across the river and only get wet to mid-calf! My camera journey in ALT.

This is the St. Croix River, on the border between MN and WI. The water was so low at that time, I could stand in the middle of the stream. Gave me an excellent viewpoint. One of my favorite places when I lived there.
