Rewatched the first two episodes of #StarTrekSNW today and that helped me to figure out why #StarTrekDIS had a bumpier road (although I'll die on the hill of DISCO S2 being one of the best seasons of ANY #StarTrek series).

Star Trek is just less effective as a serial.
