YET ANOTHER STUDENT WAS ATTACKED BY TWO MEN FOR RACIST MOTIVES IN COTTBUS. We stand in solidarity with the student and all victims of racist violence. Racism is no opinion but a crime!
Yesterday it became known that a student from West Africa was racially insulted, followed and physically attacked by two masked men in Cottbus on February 21.
The incident is one of a whole series of incidents of right-wing violence in Lusatia and Brandenburg. December 2024: Attack on a student by two Neo-Nazis while removing a right-wing sticker ends in hospital. March 2025: 35 neo-Nazis attack the "Jamm" youth club in Senftenberg. Last weekend: Three Neo-Nazis break into a refugee shelter in Stahnsdorf. The guard at the shelter is seriously injured.
These acts are not unconnected. Politicians are partly to blame: *Adopting far-right demands *Attacking democratic civil society when cirticised *defunding associations who support victims of right-wing violence These and other signals encourage neo-Nazis to commit their acts! But we will not be silenced!

Gestern wurde bekannt, dass in Cottbus am 21.2. ein Student aus Westafrika von zwei vermummten Männern rassistisch beleidigt, verfolgt und körperlich angegriffen wurde.
Der Vorfall reiht sich ein in eine ganze Reihe von Vorfällen rechter Gewalt in der Lausitz und in Brandenburg. Dezember 2024: Angriff auf einen Studenten beim Entfernen eines rechten Stickers durch zwei Neonazis endete im Krankenhaus. März 2025: 35 Neonazis greifen den Jugendclub „Jamm" in Senftenberg an. Vergangenes Wochenende: Drei Neonazis brechen in eine Unterkunft für Geflüchtete in Stahnsdorf ein. Der Wachmensch der Unterkunft wird schwer verletzt.
Diese Taten geschehen nicht im luftleeren Raum. Politiker: innen tragen Mitschuld durch: *Übernahme rechtsextremer Forderungen *Angriffe auf die demokratische Zivilgesellschaft *Angriffe auf Opferverbände Diese und weitere Signale ermutigen Neonazis zu ihren Taten! Aber wir schweigen nicht!
