When We invaded Iraq, We sent ~150K troops.
#Iran has a 92M pop & ~150K #IRGC + regular army.
We've got ~18K going to Iran, now.

Iran has missiles that reach 3-4000km.
Our Navy is stationed 3000km away "out of reach."

Iran controls #Hormuz.
#Houthis just got in & are soon to shut #Suez & Strait.

Because Egypt government does'nt want to #Suez ?

Seems to me there’s an interesting parallel in the way Britain is not helping the US open the Straits of #Hormuz.
Go back 70 years and the #US was refusing to help #Britain and #France open the #Suez Canal.
Maybe not payback, but certainly a sense of historical irony…
