#SundayPixBox I have a third — my most favourite, but I can’t find it at the moment. It’s about 80-90 years old, belonged to my grandmother who brought it over from India/Burma. The lid is one piece of wood but carved as a realistic 3D snake 🐍 with red glass eyes. I shall keep looking.

Very late to #SundayPixBox I’m afraid — busy with work Sunday and yesterday, which was nice £££s. And typical of me, given I’d suggested it 🙄
This is a gorgeous, simple, tactile box made of thuya wood (Moroccan), which a friend gave me. Delicious to roll and stroke in your hands, smells lovely too.

A brass cigarette box from the days when people would have these on their desk, sideboard or coffee table and offer them to guests. It’s about 150mm x 100mm x 50mm (6” x 4” x 2”) it’s sitting on a dark wood surface in front of the TV at my friend’s house. I bought it from an auction in Bridgnorth. In a lot called ‘a box of sundries’ there were some straight razors in there amongst other things. Back in the sun and distant past when I was misspending my youth, when my friend & myself were living together (in the biblical sense) it used to sit on the coffee table in the living room with ‘The doin’s’ in. The things you need to make a reefer along with the Hashish. It’s a fond souvenir of that time. The story continues in the next Alt text.
The same box, but open. It is lined with wood, probably cedar. It divided in two from front to back. Each compartment as big as a cigarette. There is an interesting pebble in it now. In the lid there is a piece of paper stuck in with masking tape. It reads: “Always worry Always fear The DS men are always near! and big brother watching” Behind that there is a newspaper cutting with the headline: “Under cover pot” Friend and I used to work gigs at The Poly’ so would be out from dinner time to late @darkdwarf was kind enough to walk the dog we had at the time. One night we came back from work and the note had appeared in the lid of the tin. The cutting was taken from the local paper as it was about Marijuana. Sadly I didn’t read the cutting when I photographed it. I’ll do that next weekend when I’m back there.

It photo of small and solid wooden box. It box bout 3inch wide and 8inch long. And the top half shape a bit like roof and it lift up off the half that on the bottom. And it all is covered in a lot of dust that stuck to wooden box
