A blue car sits at the end of a gravel drive. In the distance is the hill it rolled down backwards. There are parked cars on the hill and a road in front of the driveway.
Belated #SundayPixDistance
This car rolled backwards down the hill opposite, across the road and into our drive where it came to a halt. Incredibly it didn’t hit anything or anyone. Its owner hadn’t put the handbrake on!

Image of the map of travel, which was available on a recent trip on a plane. Shows “time to destination 10 hours 11 minutes”
#SundayPix #SundayPixDistance snapped the map on the plane, not the longest flight ever to Panama City. But a fair old distance!
A man and boy stand on a sandstone ledge. They look out at a view of green fields. They sky is cloudy. The photo is framed by trees.

A beautiful red tree in full Autumnal color is surrounded by other trees that have yet to change. The foreground is made of bare branches, some dipping to the ground, others curving over, loosely imitating the shape of an eye, with the distant red tree being the pupil.

A beautiful tree in full Autumn color makes this Distance in both Time (this was taken a few years ago) and Space, as it was far from where I stood.

#SundayPixDistance Cheeky thing didn't keep its distance.

An archery target with a lot of arrow in the red & gold rings. Only a distance of about 30’. Indoors so I didn’t have to correct for windage. Grouped close enough that. You’d be dead or at the very least be cautious about getting much closer :)
It is picture of the world, from the rock that we is stood by, rough with lichen, growing ling. Looking out cross marsh and rocky peaks into distance where the lives of people fade to lines upon the land and the Earth spin round beneath its cape of cloud
A milestone nestling in the ivy-strewn undergrowth. It reads: 'London 48 Winton 16' Winton is the shortened name for 'Winchester' which never would have fitted on a milestone *wink*

A distant view of my British Racing Green Mini Cooper, Pipsqueak, parked in the dirt pull over across the street. The Bay is behind her, and in the far distance are the houses & trees of Rockport.

A distance sign. It has pointers to the Station Shop, which sells ice creams, buckets & spades, plus Tokyo (5899 miles) and New York (3389 miles). In the background there is a sandy artificial beach with people in deckchairs, some beach hut cut-outs and a couple of large paintings with holes for your head to take photos in.
Sign at the beach area of the Midland Railway Centre, during the Indietracks Festival many years ago. #SundayPixDistance #SundayPix
Looking out & down through an airplane window at a serpentine river flowing into a muddy appearing lake/river. The ground is a patchwork of brown dirt, pale and dark green areas, some lit by the sun, others shaded by clouds. green

I don't recall which river that is, or where exactly we were when I took this, but I think it might have been over Pennsylvania.

A trig pillar, covered in a light dusting of snow, gorse bushes around, with some trees (mostly fir trees but a few bare deciduous trees too, hills in the middle distance, with the orange of the sunrise still in the sky.
#SundayPixDistance This is a trig pillar (sometimes called trigpoints). When I first went there yeaers ago it was next to a forest of fir trees, but those were removed (farming, weather, or both). Now new trees are growing up around it. Because sometimes distance can be a time thing too.

A flock of pink flamingos in a salt flat lake, that looks a silver-turquoise colour. The lake is broken up by strips of shrubs and towards the horizon a line of salt, then sand and hills.
