Travelled from New York to Washington on the Amtrak train whilst suffering with food poisoning. It was hell on earth. Got some meds at a pharmacy, took this photo then got a taxi back to the hotel. I / we were really unwell / wanted to die. 🤢

A skeletal sculpture of a a ship at Heysham, Lancashire. Metal figures sit at prow and stern. Behind the ship the grass drops to the beach and sea beyond. Across the bay you can just pick out the fells of the Lake District.

Under mostly-gray skies and backed by a stand of evergreen trees, a stonework column with a small observation deck up top rises just under 40 meters above a park on a mountain overlooking the mouth of the Columbia River (not pictured).

A lit up Nelson’s Column (the bottom half) at night time.
I took this photo around 1.30am on a Tuesday in January 2018 after having been evacuated into Trafalgar Square because of a gas leak. There were about 200 of us in our pyjamas and a few people who had thought to get dressed before leaving. We didn’t get home for 14 hours. #SundayPixLandmark
