A bronze statue of a young girl stands poised on a rock above the quiet sea, holding a seagull gently in one outstretched hand. When you build a highway in northern Ontario, you’re building through Canadian Shield. So sometimes, if you want to keep the road mostly flat, you blast through an awful lot of #SundayPixStone. Note the vertical lines—that’s where they drilled holes for the dynamite/blasting. (This is hwy 69).

A smiling Kate close up shows she has smudges on her nose and face, but she's shyly smiling anyway. She is carved from an off-white stone; there are carved strings of beads circling her left arm, and are attached to her gown, draping down her chest and hips. The carved material is sheer.
The very dirty foot of Kate, shows her wearing a sandal that wraps around her calf in multiple straps, belying her title of Barefoot.

Stone steps leading down the side of a cliff to a beach in Bonaire. It's called the 1000 steps as it feels like that when walking back up. There are two people almost at the bottom in tshirts and shorts, where there are also green trees and shrubs and to the left turquoise sea and a beach are glimpsed.
