Daughter sent us this wonderful wildlife rescue book from Australia - arrived today.
You can guess who I thought of first though. ❤️

A very full fridge, with a drawer pulled out showing a carton of eggs
#SundayPixWobjects I actually think of Michael/Wombat almost every time I look in our fridge, especially the eggs. Those who were also around way back when can remind me if “what’s in your fridge?” was the literal first SundayPic, or just an early one—but the Egg-gate it inspired was a canon event!
A copy of the vintage sheet music for 'Way Back Home'. Although it was recorded by Bing (as suggested by this cover), the version I believe Wombie favoured was by Bob Crosby and the Bobcats, if you fancy having a listen. On the cover are pictured Bing Crosby and another gentleman (presumably either Al Lewis or Tom Waring - the lyricist and composer). Below is a cartoon of an American homestead with picket fence, trees and a stepping stone path wending to its door. Some lyrics are to follow in the attached post..

I swapped a lot of songs with Wombie. This is one he introduced me to. He said it was one of his favourites. I tracked a copy down so I could learn it (if you zoom in you will see it came all the way from Canada..). More details in the Alt text.
A tiny little guy with a bead for a head, and "clothes" made of grey yarn/thread wrapped around his body. He is wearing a red knitted hat and has a cute smile with blushing cheeks. He is balancing precariously on the limb of a Christmas tree, with red tinsel behind him.
A skull shaped goblet in a riot of psychedelic pastel colours swirling all over it. There is a fairly realistic almost life sized crow statue on one side of it and a dark mirror on the other.
Three blue pencils, each with writing on them. One says "get your own bloody pencil" another says "mine mine mine mine mine" and the last says "can't touch this" all are well used. In the background is a glossy green monstera plant, and the edge of a Christmas tree with a glimpse of a knitted purple star ornament hanging on it.
#SundayPixWobjects The little #twanta gifts dotted around my home will always make me think of Wom working so hard spreadsheet wrangling to bring joy to others, and how far those ripples of joy spread out into the world. He was such a remarkable man, and they're a reminder always try to #BeMoreWom

Twanta gifts from 2020, including Wombat’s Red Christmas ❤️
A hand holding a sheet of paper over a parcel, the name @meersalt the only visible writing
The back of an AirKraft size 3 Jiffy bag, it is full and has “#Twanta is Here” written in red felt pen at the top
Twanta gifts! Trifecta accomplished! #SundayPixWobjects
A sign above a shop front: The Fantastic Sausage is written in white on black. Between the two words is the face of a Sausage smiling and waving. It wears a black trilby. Above the sign is a coat of arms with crossed knife and fork and three sausages.

Had to take a photo of this when we visited Weymouth #SausageLeague
It must have taken ages to do Sausage League each week - what a wonderful man to spend such time doing something so pointless but also such fun, bringing joy into our lives (perhaps that *was* the point).
A woman with a red kerchief around her face, a knitted jumper with massive hood with a pointed top, and a spear poking through said hood. It is entitled The Hood by J.R.Bee
The original image: no mouth kercheif, the spear is a knitting needle, and no fantasy background or text. Just a woman showing an in progress pic of her in her oversized knitted hood
#SundayPixWobjects The time I posted a silly pick of my jumper in progress and wombat turned me into a knitted fantasy warrior.
He encouraged my art, my writing, and my silliness, and I wasn't the only one he lifted up.
Truly a once-in-a-lifetime Wombat.
A collection of gifts featuring a bottle of ale, a notebook, two badges, and chocolate honeycomb.
A selection of gifts featuring a brooch, a travel mug with crazy cricket lady decoration, and a celtic lovespoon.
A selection of gifts featuring a pair of fan shaped earrings and three blue speckled hair slides.
A huge undertaking which Michael performed so wonderfully was #Twanta. I still had these three photos on my phone and they serve as examples of the many acts of generosity he inspired.

Oh what’s this in the post?
A trophy on a stand consisting of a fork with a golden sausage speared on the end. On the base it says "@magentakoru Wombie's Golden Sausage 2021"
And this was the trophy!

A picture of a West Ham match. One player is kicking, but the ball has been exchanged for a sausage. The player has also been given long brown hair and the name on the back of the shirt has been changed to Daisy.

Wombie made this picture for me when I won sausage league a few years back.
Two old Olympus film cameras on a garden table.
For #SundayPixWobjects I’m just going to post this. For they lay dormant for many years but #SundayPix made me fall back in love with making photographs again. One of the most valuable contributions you can make as a human being is enthusiasm and actively creating community. ❤️
A woman with brown hair sits in front of a brick wall. She has a thick black coat on and a red woollen scarf wrapped around her neck and face, with only her eyes revealed. You can still tell that under the scarf she’s smiling.
#SundayPixWobjects As soon as I saw this week’s theme, I cried. He’s so missed. X. Although we’d spoken a bit, this photo was what really marked the beginning of our friendship and lots of long wonderful conversations. Apparently it’s very me :-). So the scarf always reminds me of beloved Wombat x
An encaustic brown tile detail showing (possibly) a goats head with a fluted border and a plant with ribbons below.
#SundayPixWobjects Tile detail from the fabulous bar in Newcastle Central Station.
A large outdoor grill, full of sausages, taken in my garden at my wedding
A white dinner plate of cooked mini cocktail sausages, sitting on a black granite countertop.
A plate of eggs, potato rosti and sausage. Two fried eggs are sitting on two rostis with a sausage underneath. The whole thing looks like a smiling face.
Two fried eggs, sausage, tomatoes and a pot of baked beans on a plate in the foreground. In the background are toast, a croissant, more sausages, a pot of coffee, a jug of milk and a glass of hot chocolate.
A tribute to #SausageLeague and to the great @wombat37.bsky.social entitled ‘Sausages wot I have eaten’ #SundayPixWobjects
#SundayPixWobjects It's the first thing I think of.
A metal wall plaque with the covers of volume 1 and 2 of Madame Monvoisin's Emporium of Extraordinary Adventures by Michael Wombat printed on it. The left is yellow and the right is purple. And it's a picture of a woman's face - me.
#SundayPixWobjects The metal plaque he sent me of his books that have my face on them. He made me look so beautiful. And he chose my two favourite colours. 💜
#SundayPixWobjects I'm not a football lover, and in fact rarely ever watch my son play (this is him scoring a goal) - my husband loves football and was a trainer for his team so always takes him. But Wombie loved it, so it forever makes me think of him now.
#SundayPixWobjects Whenever I would go for a walk and there were lots of ducks on the big lake I'd send Wombie footage to enjoy. It'll always make me think of him now.
I'm busy doing a read-through edit, and found myself giggling at one of Wombie's chapters. Then realised I couldn't app to tell him of his brilliance. These books will always be special. #SundayPixWobjects
A partially crocheted brown wombat stuffed with bright orange poms poms
I got these pom poms to stuff it with, hoping they would look like cheesy footballs. They arrived a very violent orange, so not very cheese football like. Maybe they're off brand ones 🤔
#SundayPixWobjects
Front view of a slightly uneven crocheted wombat with ears and a dark nose with embroidered mouth. In the background is a chaotic Christmas tree
Side view of that same wombat. In shape it is somewhere between potato and giant peanut.
I haven't quite finished yet (need to do the legs, tail, and eyes) but I have been learning to crochet this wombat, so perfect share for #SundayPixWobjects
Project cry count: 4, but only 2 hysterically, and one of those was when the yarn got all tangled so I'm not sure it counts.
Listen up, young warriors.
There are an alarming number of images on the #SundayPixWobjects feed that do not have Alt-Txt to allow those who use text readers to join in and enjoy the #SundayPix fun.
Please, if you are able, add Alt-Txt before posting any images.
A self-saucing hot dog on Weston-super-Mare pier
As a former #SausageLeague supremo it has to be this for #SundayPixWobjects. I think it would have appealed to his sense of humour.

A written note saying #SAUS.LEAGUE
A photo I took, that Wombie really liked, to remind me to do #SausageLeague on a Friday.
What a ridiculous and lovely thing that was. Never made it past mid-table.

The sculptures in the Yorkshire Sculpture Park will forever remind me of Michael (and Mary), visited for their wedding anniversary. Gathering people together was his special skill - online and IRL.

I made a collage of photos of many many years of Twanta participation. Wombie brought a lot of cheer all around and I ended up with some ace friends through it #Twanta

Michael always loved photos of the windfarm near Eaglesham. This was a few weeks ago when it was cloaked in mist
#SundayPixWobjects
Will never see a pile of sausages without thinking of Michael & Sausage League!
