The internet can be a cesspit. Parts of it are. Wombat’s world never was.

A huge undertaking which Michael performed so wonderfully was #Twanta. I still had these three photos on my phone and they serve as examples of the many acts of generosity he inspired.

There is a big @wombat37.bsky.social shaped hole in our Christmasses this year. One thing he did for us all was #Twanta. My last year recipient sent me a gift this year in memory of him. He is so missed, now and in the future.
I never met @wombat37.bsky.social in person but with #Twanta #PieCricket #SundayPix and #SausageLeague over the years he brought fun and community to this often grim world of social media.

Wombat doesn't know it but he provided so much light in the darkness with #SausageLeague and #Twanta whilst I was navigating a hard time in my personal life. He's absolutely one in a million and I hope he knows how cherished he is.

I'm sorry to announce that given the advancement of my cancer and all the kerfuffle that entails, that I won't be running #Twanta this year. It's been fifteen years of absolute Christmas joy, and I thank you all for your annual enthusiasm and involvement.

Weirdly when I checked on this, I’d just finished making some tree decorations for next year from Australian wrapping paper that I’d scanned and flipped and printed to get mirror image backing, then laminated and finished off with #Twanta twine. #SundayPixHandmade
