This was the culture change I tried to push discussion on with #SupportBoldIndies, with the Indie Re-Revolution panels.
But again, I was only met with things will be fine. Don't be intense. Don't be unprofessional.
I've been stomping #SupportBoldIndies (storytellers, journalists, activists) for a while, but seeing how things are going now, it's not just support the indies but please don't back away when someone goes after them at the behest (witting or unwitting) of a corporation. Please. Be and stay active.

Not just money. Bold works. Important works. Beautiful works. Works without having to rely on direct pain or flashy gimmicks.
#SupportBoldIndies has gone nowhere. Does anyone have resources or energy to gather on this subject? It must affect so many others, also.
I'm not knowledgeable enough to speak on supply chain but I do deeply believe that #SupportBoldIndies is central to this. The corporations *have* to be kept in check and right now that is *not* happening. Printers, small presses, mags, getting bought and shut down all over.
People are seeing the vitality of #SupportBoldIndies in journalism today but I need them to see it in xpfic and activism also.

Proposed new guideline: For every vague dunk on power, one should make a specific boost of a risk taker.
Big Media doesn't care about passing rumbledunks. For indies, the talk is empowering and existential.
