… Sometimes, nothing beats a ‘walk & talk’ 🧠 💕

Sutton Park is a lovely place to be all year round but particularly colourful right now.
And warm!

Beautiful walk & talk yesterday with Sutton Park Walk & Talk & our friends from Erdington Walking Group - a great way to increase our step count in #Steptember, making new connections whilst spending time in the natural world. #walkingforhealth #SuttonPark #ConnectionMatters #ConnectWithNature

Here at Rowton’s Well in Sutton Park — once believed to have curative powers and used by Birmingham’s Eye Hospital.
I’ve captured its quiet magic in my latest handmade tile.

🌳☕️ Enjoyed a lovely morning walk in Sutton Park around Bracebridge Pool! Ended our stroll at Sip & Slice Cafe for a delicious mocha topped with mini marshmallows. Perfect way to start the day! 🌅✨ #SuttonPark #NatureWalk #SipAndSlice #MochaMagic #MorningVibes

A foggy Sutton Park. Went out for a post Christmas walk without any of my camera gear and managed to get this shot with my phone.

Normally elusive Jays tempted by the windfall of sweet chestnuts and a Heron close by the dam on Wyndley pool in #suttonPark

This Grey Wagtail has returned to its favourite weir that has now been filled in - though unfinished it makes the most of the rubble piles that will soon be gone.

Varying numbers of Mandarins are becoming a fixture at Keepers Pool these days - Grey Wagtail by the outflow at Bracebridge, no longer to be found at Wyndley while the works continue
Postponed a visit to see my parents as I’ve woken up with a sore throat… instead had a short walk in a very sunny #SuttonPark where I was pleased to see several Redstarts and some very noisy Ring-necked Parakeets #UKBirding
(1st post of 3) Last week I was in the Midlands for my nephews' wedding. A busy occasion, but I did have chance to squeeze in some sketching the day before on the train, and in my beloved Sutton Park. My first sketch in this park since I was a teenager! #sketchbook #suttonpark #suttoncoldfield
Sutton Park visit, 34 species of bird highlights were Kingfisher, Kestrel, Sparrowhawk, Treecreeper, Green Woodpecker, Little Egret and Grey Wagtail.

Surprised to see this juvenile female Mandarin at #WyndleyPool in #SuttonPark totally on its own among the Greylags and Canadian Geese unless I’ve miss Identified? (Happy to be corrected)
More #parklife: #suttonpark is living history - Bronze age burning grounds and a Roman Road, of which more later - today I walked the Longmoor Valley, glorious heathland when the low Winter Sun puts it in the spotlight - this is a natural spring - a portal into the past... eh Paula?
