A tug, Svitzer Brunel, demonstrating its fire fighting ability on the River Thames at Gravesend. The river and sky are grey while the tug is in familiar Svitzer colours: a navy blue hull and yellow or cream superstructure. The tug is seen almost side-on with jets of water and spray firing from the top of its wheelhouse: its fire fighting 'monitors' are red. There are several tugs on the Thames able to fight fires: they're able to get to places fire engines can't and can tackle fire alongside fire engines. The photo here is a display, not the 'real thing' happily: perhaps marking a retirement or another occasion.
