Graves are often beautiful things, albeit steeped in sorrow. Time, skill and care was needed to design and create this nautical masterpiece for a mariner's resting place. Photograph taken at Sweetheart Abbey in Dumfriesshire, of the intricate design on a headstone - an anchor in the waves, tied to a large cross with a small heart above. Turned the image black and white for more impact.
